Hi, I’m Farah

The first thing to know about me is that I genuinely love this work. Helping people see a problem differently, finding a path through complexity, and watching teams grow stronger together is where I feel most at home. I hold myself to high standards in both my work and my life, and you can count on me to show up fully, push for excellence, and celebrate the wins along the way.

A Global, People-Centered Perspective

My perspective is shaped by a global upbringing and personal experiences that keep me focused on what matters: creating systems that work for real people. I thrive at the intersection of people, policy, and law. That space is where I’ve built teams, designed programs, and developed scalable solutions to challenges that don’t have simple answers. I lead with integrity and care, and I do my best work when I’m partnering with communities and organizations that value both.

A Career Spanning Law, Policy, Education, and Government

My career has been anything but one-dimensional. I’ve worked across local, state, and federal government, including serving as the architect behind major transformations in Austin’s civilian police oversight system. I’ve held leadership roles in higher education as a chief student affairs officer, while also teaching as adjunct faculty.

Legal Expertise That Strengthens Every Project

As a licensed attorney, my casework has ranged from real estate to criminal defense and child welfare. Each chapter has added another layer to how I understand systems, people, and the pressures leaders face. I draw on all of it—every role, every challenge, every lived experience—to bring a perspective that is both strategic and deeply human. My clients trust me because I can see the big picture and move the work forward in practical, grounded ways.

A Full Life Outside the Work

And while I care deeply about my work, my life outside of it brings just as much joy. My children, my family, and our Haitian roots keep me centered. I love a sharp joke, a good conversation, and any chance to get on a tennis court. Tennis gives me the same thing meaningful work does—a blend of focus, resilience, and fun. I’m looking forward to joining a league again soon.

What I Believe

At my core, I’m someone who believes in possibility, believes in people, and believes that thoughtful leadership can change outcomes. If we work together, you’ll feel that from the start.
