These projects reflect the kind of work I do as a Fractional Chief of Staff—partnering with executives to align strategy, coordinate cross-functional teams, and move complex initiatives from idea to execution. Project 1: Alpha Website Redesign

Project Title: Alpha.austin.gov (now AustinTexas.gov)

Role: Strategic Project Lead & Executive Partner

I partnered with City of Austin leaders to guide a multidisciplinary team responsible for transforming how residents access city services online. I bridged technology, policy, and operations to ensure leaders had the clarity, information, and structure needed to make effective decisions and support the team in delivering a complex, high-visibility project.

Key Contributions

  • Introduced a human-centered approach to digital service delivery

  • Strengthened executive and stakeholder communication pathways

  • Oversaw accessible design and updated information architecture

  • Developed scalable language access and translation processes

  • Created strategy and process playbooks for long-term implementation

Why It Matters

This project reflects how I operate as a strategic right hand to leadership: turning a broad mandate into clear priorities and projects, coordinating work across teams and departments, and building structures that last beyond a single initiative—core elements of my fractional Chief of Staff work.

Project 2: Public Safety Task Force

Project Title: Reimagining Public Safety Task Force (Austin, TX)

Role: Co-Chair, Strategic Advisor & Project Lead

As co-chair and project lead, I worked with city leadership and community stakeholders to develop policy, cultural, and operational recommendations for improving public safety outcomes. This required structured facilitation, cross-functional coordination, and executive support—exactly the kind of partnership I now provide as a Fractional Chief of Staff.

Key Contributions

  • Developed comprehensive public safety reform recommendations

  • Established guiding values to anchor future public safety work

  • Designed repeatable processes for community engagement

  • Led listening sessions with 150+ participants across eight languages

Project 3: Civilian Police Oversight

Project Title: Civilian Police Oversight – City of Austin

Role: Director, Office of Police Oversight

I served as the senior leader responsible for transforming Austin’s civilian police oversight system. This role required executive advising, operational leadership, policy development, and cross-departmental coordination—all central to the work I now provide as a Fractional Chief of Staff.

Key Contributions

  • Led redesign and expansion of the city’s police oversight function

  • Developed and implemented transparency and accountability policies

  • Worked with City Manager, City Attorney, and Police leadership to align priorities

  • Strengthened systems for case review, complaint intake, and public reporting

  • Coordinated communication across city leadership, external partners, and community members

  • Produced strategic recommendations adopted by city leadership
